How to price CMS projects

Starting ranges

• Starter site (5 pages, Wix/Squarespace, no eCommerce): $500–$1,500
• Standard small business site (7–10 pages, WordPress, contact form, blog): $1,500–$3,500
• Custom WordPress build (custom design, plugin integrations, multiple CTAs): $3,500–$7,500
• eCommerce site (Shopify or WooCommerce, product setup, payment gateway): $3,000–$8,000+

These are starting ranges. Regional markets skew lower. NYC/LA/remote markets go higher. Price based on value delivered, not hours spent.

In the beginning, pricing can be tricky — but the more experience and results you get, the more comfortable you become because you know you're worth your asking price. Your reputation for being professional sticks with you longer than you realize and is the difference in getting clients or not.
