• Give the client their registrar login credentials — or walk them through creating their own account
• Screenshot all DNS records before and after any changes
• Set a reminder to check domain expiration 30 days before it lapses
• Include annual domain renewal cost (~$12–$15) in any maintenance estimate
• Never complete DNS setup or hand over admin credentials until final payment is received
